This site - pixietwin.com - is the web home of Scott Abernethy and Odette Abernethy nee McDonald. The main purpose of this site is to provide us with:

a way of sharing news and information with our friends and family
a stationary point of contact as we move around
a design playground for Scott

This site is a work in progress. It goes through cycles of constant change and then total neglect. When changing it is typically the format that changes rather than the content. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing a period of severe neglect.

how pixietwin works

The entire pixietwin site has been constructed with custom PHP code written by Scott, backed by a MySQL database. We have been asked to setup a sourceforge project to share the project sourcecode with others, and we are considering it. But at the moment Scott doesn't have the energy for it. Of course, random donations to pixietwin could persuade us otherwise... contact Scott if interested.

I included the above section because of the numerous requests for information from people asking how pixietwin.com works and how they could setup a similar site. To all those people who sent me a message asking, I'm sorry for taking so long to reply - Scott.

about scott & odette

We are currently living in central Wellington, New Zealand. Wellington is such a great city; there is always heaps of stuff going on, and the inner city is so vibrant and funky.

Scott is working as lead designer in the software engineering department at the Wellington division of Stratex Networks, a large telecomunications corporate based in Silicon Valley (San Jose, California, USA). Stratex provides cellular network and broadband wireless access solutions across the globe. Stratex is an excellent and rewarding place to work: great people; challenging work; good experience.

Odette is working as manager of Michael Hill Jeweller in Porirua. She is always working really hard, getting her store pumping. Go and visit her for all your jewellery needs!
